Nityananda Ashram

Nityananda Ashram
Bhagwan Sri Nityananda Ashram is situated in Ganeshpuri, in the state of Maharashtra in India. It enshrines the samadhi of the great sage 'Swami Nityananda'. The ashram was founded by a disciple of Swami Nityananda, Swami Muktananda, after being so instructed by the Swami himself. People from far and wide come to Swami Nityananda Ashram of Ganeshpuri to find their inner self and move forward on the path of self-realization.

Swami Nityananda
Swami Nityananda was one of the greatest saints of India. It is believed that Bhagwan Sri Nityananda was a 'Janma Siddha' (a born Siddha or perfected yogi). In the early years of his life, he lived in isolation in the farthest regions of South India. Later, he came to Ganeshpuri and lived there till his last breath. It was here that he bestowed shaktipath (enlightenment) on Swami Muktananda and instructed his disciple to build an ashram. The Swami Nityananda Ashram of Ganeshpuri is also known as Gurudev Siddha Peeth.

Teachings of Swami Nityananda
Swami Nityananda always taught his disciples to listen to their heart. He said, "The heart is the hub of all sacred places; go there and roam". Every individual must strive towards self-realization and to achieve that purpose, he should look within himself. God resides within each and every living being and we can find Him only when we search for Him inside ourselves.
