Isha Foundation

Isha Foundation and its Mission
Isha Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev. The main aim of Isha Foundation is to use yogic science for the physical, metal as well as spiritual development of an individual. With approximately 150 centers worldwide, it strives towards world peace and works for the upliftment of destitute children, rural people and embattled women. The volunteers of the Isha Foundation work selflessly in the service of others.

Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev
The founder of Isha Foundation, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, was born in Mysore, India. His teachings mainly involve a combination of simple yoga techniques and age old spiritual knowledge.

Isha Yoga Center
The Isha Yoga Center was founded under the aegis of Isha Foundation. It is situated at the foothills of the Velliangiri Mountains, near the Coimbatore city of India. Spread over an area of 150 acres, it is regarded as a center for inner growth. One of the unique features of Isha Yoga Center is that it offers all the four major paths of yoga - gnana (knowledge), karma (action), kriya (energy), and bhakthi (devotion).

Isha Yoga Programs
Designed by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, Isha Yoga Programs are intended to provide individuals with opportunities for discovering the self. These programs make use of social as well as family obligations as instruments of self-development and self-realization. The following programs are offered at the Isha Yoga Center in India.

  • Isha Yoga for adults (13-day foundational program, involving meditation, asanas and breathing techniques)

  • Isha Yoga for children - 7 to14 years (10-day program)

  • Bhava Spandana (4-day residential program, involving advanced meditation)

  • Hatha Yoga (Involves use of asanas)

  • Samyama (7-day residential program involving long hours of intense meditation)

  • Wholeness (8-day residential program, involving asanas, Shakti Chalana Kriya and shoonya meditation

  • Inner Engineering (3-7 day intensive program, involving guided meditation and Shambhavi Maha Mudra)

How to Reach Isha Foundation, Coimbatore

By Air
The nearest airport of Coimbatore has regular flights to and from Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.

By Rail
The nearest railway station is also the one at Coimbatore. It is well connected with all major cities in India.

By Road
There are regular buses as well as taxi services between Coimbatore and Isha Yoga Center. A good road network connects Coimbatore with the rest of the country.
